Preparatory Work and Organization
The UP School of Labor and Industrial Relations (SOLAIR) shall set up an organizing committee and support structures for the technical and practical tasks in relation to the conference. The following organizations and institutions shall be consulted and included in the preparatory and organization committees:
- Employers organizations: Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP); Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI); Foreign chambers of commerce.
- Worker organizations: Trade Unions Congress of the Philippines (TUCP); Federation of Free Workers; Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU); Association of Philippine Labor (APL), etc.
- Government: Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)
The following committees shall be organized, as sub-teams of the Organizing Committee for the ILERA Asian Regional Congress 2020: (a) Program and Scientific Committee; (b) Logistics and Finance Committee and (c) Information and Publications Committee.
A dedicated website shall be set up and maintained for the ILERA Asian Regional Congress to be hosted by the UP SoLAIR, and linked to the ILERA website.
The Scientific Program Committee which shall be charge of initiating the call for papers, selecting papers for presentation and designing the overall congress program. Besides some selected members from the local organizing committee the program committee will also involve ILERA officials, as well as experienced academics from the wider labor and employment relations community in Asia.
To ensure a balance between competing ideas and options for best practices in the future world of work, and to optimize the distribution of plenary and concurrent sessions, Congress participants shall be requested to indicate the topics they are most interested to attend, and confirm attendance prior to registration.
